USS MEMPHIS (SSN 691) Reunion was held in the City of Memphis. We couldn't have pulled this off without AFR. Ted and his staff were great and thanks to them our boat's first reunion was a fantastic success. Donna provided expert on-site management, from beginning to end AFR added tremendous value to our event. I would highly recommend AFR for your reunion planning. Definitely 5 stars!
Please pass on our sincere appreciation for an excellent job to your entire team. Then, please single out Amy Lee for the amazing work she did supporting 1980's 40th reunion. From the start I knew I could trust and depend on Amy and the team to ensure everything we needed was handled professionally. When we needed to adjust, her flexibility kept classmates happy and ultimately led to a very successful reunion. Thank you again and please do make sure Amy is recognized for her onsite work.
I recommend any reunion group consider Armed Forces Reunions (AFR) to contract their next reunion. The experience and negotiating skills AFR bring to the table on your behalf will save you time and money for your reunion group, making the reunion more affordable and increasing attendance. Hotels are more comfortable with and will offer lower room rates and more concessions to trusted, repeat customers such as AFR. We have used AFR for many years, rotating reunions East, Central and West and they always find hotels that meet our needs. Their service has been excellent.
AFRI represents many military organizations and in doing so, has excellent contacts with the hotel industry nationwide and are able to negotiate the best prices because they are considered a repeat customer in their representing numerous veteran groups looking for reunion sites. Hotels are more willing to work with them rather than a single organization, like the CGCVA, that will only use their hotel once.
Thank you for another spectacular job in planning this year’s reunion at the Lansdowne Resort. You have done so much for the Golden Eagles through the years to make our events successful. You help with keeping the costs down, selecting venues that are appropriate for each event, keeping track of attendees and greeting them with heir package of information, and so much more that perhaps only you and the Flight Leader know about. Each Flight Leader who has had your support strongly encourages the next Flight Leader to make sure they use AFR to ensure the reunion goes well. That is strong praise from them and I echo it.
After 24 years we finally decided to try a reunion planner. From the beginning I just had a good feeling about this. Carolyn kept reassuring me that this would be an outstanding reunion that I could finally enjoy and not worry about the details. Was she ever right! I could go on and on, but I think you get the message how pleased we are. I look forward to planning next year’s reunion in Gatlinburg with AFR, and we voted unanimously to ask you to plan our 2015 Pensacola reunion.
What a very successful reunion - all due to AFR’s continued guidance, coordination and execution not only during the overall event, but through the entire process leading up to it. All I spoke with had nothing but praise for your operation. We could not have done it without your efforts. Thanks to AFR for a job Well Done!
Employing Armed Forces Reunions, Inc. was the best decision we ever made. Now all we do is show up and enjoy. AFR has handled all aspects of our reunion for 15 years now, including assisting in selecting a site, negotiating a hotel contract, handling all on-site activities such as registration, banquet, nametags, tours and other incidentals at a very nominal fee. I highly recommend AFR as a reputable and reliable source for any military event, large or small.
Thank you for your superb coordination of our 3/3 Marine Vietnam Reunion in San Diego. It was a fantastic event and time, thanks to you. I hope you have a relaxing remainder of the summer and that you are the coordinator for our 2018 reunion. Take care and thanks again for your professional and personal friendship. Semper Fi, John.
The whole event went like clockwork and other than providing AFR with the information they needed to put everything in place, my role was simply to accept the check. For the first time in 12 years I was able to participate in the reunion and visit with old friends instead of worrying about this and that and putting out fires. I would highly recommend AFR to anyone who needs a professional reunion job done at a reasonable price.
I want to thank the entire AFR team for your continued great work for the Marine Corps Aviation Association's Annual Symposiums. You have always provided terrific services, from helping with individual hotel reservations, reunion registration, and last minute changes to maintaining such a warm and upbeat attitude onsite. The Marine Corps and its industry partners have come to know that with AFR involved, our MCAA symposiums are top-flight events year-in and year-out. If anyone should ask, please know that that I would personally highly recommend Armed Forces Reunions to any outfit seeking professional event planning services.
On behalf of the officers and members of the Americal Division Veterans Association (ADVA) I wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to you and your great team for making the ADVA National Reunion a memorable and expertly executed event. I have not seen a military reunion done in a more professional manner. We were so impressed with AFR’s expertise at planning the logistics, on-site registration, cost controls, and contracting for all tours, hotel set-ups, and meals. The AFR banquet seating method allowed members and guests to select their table-mates, with printouts of seating assignments posted outside the event. For the first time ADVA members could enjoy arriving at the banquet. The ADVA National Commander and the ADVA Executive Committee have requested that I develop a six year plan for the exclusive use of AFR for our upcoming reunions.
I was chairman of the 2008 and 2012 National Intruder Reunions when we used another military reunion planner, and co-chairman of our 2016 reunion - which gives me a good perspective of this year’s performance by AFR, and Donna Lee in particular. The Intruder Association will definitely book AFR for all future reunions to guarantee the BEST REUNION PLANNERS. AFR obtained the best rates, free parking, a breakfast plan, and a large room for our Ready Room. Donna and her local folks handled the registration process and all tour arrangements. She also instituted a unique system for banquet seating that took our committee out of the firing line AND satisfied at least 99% of the banquet attendees. AFR saved us money and made our work less stressful. I could go on and on, but simply put…AFR Rocks!!!
Planning reunions for a large group can be daunting task. It's all about managing a million details and that's what AFR does best. As reunion director my job is to insure members get the most bang for their buck possible and AFR has made it possible to do just that. The first reunion with AFR on board was noticeably better than any prior reunion and each reunion since has been better than the last. Ted Dey, Donna Lee and the entire staff are a joy to work with. Because of AFR's industry relationships and extensive experience we've been able to book better hotels and up the fun factor. Thank you AFR and your service and dedication to all Veterans....
Ted and Molly, thank you for all your efforts, energy, and time in helping to assure the success of our All Bird Dog Reunion. I understand this is your business and you are excellent at what you do, but I also recognized that this event took special effort and time on your part and it was this additional effort that made our reunion so successful. Again, thank you for making this historic event so great.
Just a quick note of thanks to you and the entire staff at AFR for a fantastic job in helping us make the 2015 NCISA National Reunion one of the best! Donna Lee did a wonderful job in assisting me with all of the arrangements and basically "holding my hand" and reassuring me throughout the entire process.
On behalf of the members of the Third Marine Division Association, please convey our thanks and salute to everyone in your firm who assisted and supported our reunion in Orlando. Throughout, the support was first class and the attention you and your team gave our reunion was superb. You should be proud of your entire team, and we look forward to a similar success in San Antonio next year.
Molly, there is no way Jane and I can thank you enough for the superlative job you have done for us this past year, and especially during the reunion. You had obviously done a good job with the hotel - their staff was accommodating and prompt to every request. We are indebted to you, Colleen Briley, and the rest of your organization for all the details.
Through the whole planning process, Dianne Moore made it clear that her highest priority was our satisfaction with the result, that the reunion was to be exactly the way WE wanted it and did not have to conform to some preconceived model. And that was what we got.
Thank you and your organization for the outstanding job you performed for our reunion. Molly spent many hours at the registration desk, checking people in and answering questions. I received many comments on her positive, can-do attitude. When an additional 50 walk-ins showed up, she prepared the additional nametags, and entered the data in the computer for our listing. Her liaison with the hotel staff was beyond belief.
I would like to express our gratitude to AFR for the coordination of our reunion in San Antonio. We appreciated how she helped us with everything from guiding, directing, confirming and managing the details to, and especially, being on-site and available from the fist day to the last. We have never experienced such a level of courtesy and attention.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the outstanding support provided the Chosin Few, Inc. for our recent reunion in Washington, D.C. In particular, I would like to single out Donna Lee for her continued coordinationduring the preparation and implementation phases of the reunion. She made all the reunion activities run smoothly."
Ted, I cannot say enough about you and your organization. I continually receive wonderful comments about how well everything went, and in particular, how cooperative and efficient Molly and her crew were, always performing with patience and a smile. You all are tops!
For the U.S. Navy Returning Warrior Workshop contract we selected AFR over other bidders because of AFR’s experience in planning and managing military conferences. Their understanding of military protocol and procedure is invaluable.
Please accept my sincere thanks for your outstanding support to the Air Force Public Affairs Professional Development Seminar. Through the exceptional service provided by you and the entire Armed Forces Reunions Team, you helped ensure the event was a resounding success!
Ted, you have done a marvelous job putting our reunions together, and your staff is well organized, making our responsibilities that much easier. Donna Lee did an outstanding job servicing the Seattle reunion. She was on top of every detail. I have attended ten reunions planned by AFR, and I must say, the Seattle reunion was the best overall.
