AFR has such a long and deep history in planning Marine Corps reunions. In 1994 we partnered with the 4th Marine Division Assn. for their Norfolk reunion. Over the years we’ve partnered with the 5th Marine Division and we have long partnered with the 1st and 3rd Marine Divisions. Other AFR longtime clients include the Marine Corps Aviation Assn., USMC Combat Helicopter Assn. (Popasmoke), 3/3 RVN Assn., The Chosin Few, China Marines, U.S. Seagoing Marines, Marine Corps Weather Service Assn., Anglico Assn., Marine Phantom F-4s, Delta 1/7 Vietnam Marines, Hotel 2/5, Alpha 1/12, and Echo 2/3. Cleary we know the U.S. Marine Corps and USMC groups have continually partner with AFR for superior service. IMG_1493

Over the years we have planned many special events, but none more special than Marine Aviation’s Centennial in the nation’s capital in 2012. Savannah and Charleston are always great options for Marine groups because of their proximity to Parris Island. The same is true for San Diego, with the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and of course Camp Pendleton. New Bern, NC is a lesser known location, but perfect for any Marine Air group with its proximity to Cherry Point and New River. It’s also a quaint Southern town with many charms. And not a year passes when we don’t have Marine groups in Washington DC, with the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and the Friday evening parades at Marine Barracks 8th & I.

Some of the more popular Marine Corps reunion destinations are:

  • Washington DC: Marine Corps Base Quantico and the National Museum of the Marine Corps, Marine Barracks and the 8th & I Parade, and the Iwo Jima Memorial
  • San Diego: home to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, and a daytrip to Camp Pendleton
  • Charleston: proximity to marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island
  • Savannah: proximity to marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island
  • Wilmington or New Bern: proximity to Camp Lejeune, MCAS Cherry Point, and MCAS New River
  • Pensacola: NAS Pensacola and the National Naval Aviation Museum
  • Norfolk: Naval Station Norfolk and Camp Allen
